In Previous post I posted about Web 2.0 or Google, Facebook can be bad for your buseiness? referring a post of copyblogger’s, ‘The Most Dangerous Threat to Your Online Marketing Efforts.’
The author’s idea is ‘if you create content on sites like Facebook, but that content effectively belongs to Facebook. The more content we create for free, the more valuable Facebook becomes. We do the work, they reap the profit.’ The more you create you more they get. So does your Own!
I can’t imagine how internet World will look like without Google, Facebook, Twitter and other social network sites. In my opinion, we all interdependence each other. Without Web 2.0 how I have no idea how will I marketing my content? I didn’t create content on Social sites but I do create community. In some Web 2.0 I do create content, like squidoo, Hubpages etc… They brought reasonable traffics and backlinks to me so I don’t feel back to help building their empire.
Bigger, more capital holders get more it is natural truth of business. Google Adsense pays 1 click 25 Cents but it got 50 Cents. I know but it fair for me. I have no problem.
If you potentiality is big enough, yea, it is very good to be independent.
In some sense, CopyBlogger is right. We should not depend our business directly on Web 2.0. In the other words, Web 2.0 sould not be our first business stream. Web 2.0 is good supporter for your business and blogs.
